Zoe Aaron

I qualified as a teacher in 2003 and taught in an inner-city primary school, where I developed an interest in supporting the students who struggled to access the curriculum due to additional needs or emotional and behavioural difficulties. I left the classroom in 2011 and worked as a private tutor while completing a master’s degree in dyslexia and the English language. This enabled me to provide specialist support to dyslexic students of all ages. In addition to this, I have completed additional training with both Dyslexia Action and the National Autistic Society, enabling me to keep up to date with new research and ideas.

I have 16 years’ experience working with children, young people and adults with SpLD and ASD, and co-occurring difficulties such as anxiety and depression. This has been in a range of settings: schools, colleges, universities and students’ homes.

As a Specialist Study Skills Tutor and AS mentor, I can support you with many aspects of study, for example, organisation, time management, reading, planning and writing, memory skills and revision strategies, plus the opportunity to talk through any difficulties or worries. Through one-to-one sessions tailored to your specific needs, I aim to help you develop strategies to become a confident and independent learner.
