Liz Yates

I have been in education for 34 years, mostly teaching Economics and Business Studies. Through my own children, I developed an interest in neurodiversity and its impact on learning. I used this to adapt the way I taught to enable students to learn in the best way to suit each of them. My last teaching post was in a specialist school where I was lucky enough to have small groups of neurodiverse students. I spent a large amount of one to one time with these wonderful students to discover together how they could best learn and study. I built on this experience with more training and am now a Specialist AS Mentor and Study Skills Tutor. I see each of these roles as being led by you and your needs at the time. I will do my best to support you with your organisation, time management, planning and strategising the best way forward for you to live, learn, solve problems, be motivated and study effectively and increasingly, independently.
