Stephen Tallett
I am an experienced mentor and counsellor working with young people and adults. I qualified as a therapeutic counsellor in 2012, since when I have worked with students in an FE college, and adults with a diverse range of mental health issues. Prior to this I was a mentor to young adults for 7 years, helping them with their education and employment ambitions. For four years I was a director of a social enterprise which provides holistic counselling for clients with disabilities. Prior to the above I had a career in financial services. As a mentor I am able to share the experience of my own career and education path, as well as provide guidance, motivation, and emotional support. Looking to improve your communication and personal skills, to help you develop and reinforce your own study skills and knowledge of your subject, and increase your confidence and motivation. Effective mentoring is a two-way street, meaning that both mentor and student will actively participate in the relationship to make it work.
